In advance of the XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy, USA Luge will be hosting weekly press conferences with several of its athletes. On Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. EST, U.S. men’s singles slider Tony Benshoof (White Bear Lake, Minn.) will discuss his silver medal finish in Saturday’s, Nov. 26, World Cup series race held in Altenberg, Germany. The medal allowed Benshoof to become USA Luge’s all-time singles leader in international medals won, 22, surpassing three-time Olympian Duncan Kennedy, who slid to 21. WHO: Tony Benshoof (White Bear Lake, Minn.), a 2002 Olympian and 2005 overall men’s singles luge Challenge Cup bronze medalist. Benshoof is also the current men’s singles World Cup leader, after three races, tied with Russia’s Albert Demtschenko. Each has 240 points.
